Goldstein & McClintock LLLP Bolsters Multiple Practice Areas with the Addition of Amrit S. Kapai

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Goldstein & McClintock LLLP expands litigation and bankruptcy practice groups with addition of senior associate Amrit S. Kapai.

Chicago, Illinois – August 31, 2017 - Goldstein & McClintock LLLP, a Chicago-based boutique law firm comprising over 20 professionals in multiple offices around the country, strengthened its corporate bankruptcy and litigation practice groups by adding Amrit S. Kapai, previously a litigation attorney at Mayer Brown LLP, as a senior associate. In addition to his corporate bankruptcy experience representing both debtors, secured lenders, and other parties in restructuring matters, Mr. Kapai brings with him a diverse litigation background. Mr. Kapai has substantial experience representing financial institutions and equipment lessors in commercial litigation matters. He also previously served as defense counsel to a multinational banking and financial services holding company in financial services litigation involving alleged violations of federal and state banking laws, including the TILA, RESPA, FDCPA, ICFA, and ECOA. Mr. Kapai’s presence will bolster G&M’s award-winning commercial litigation and corporate bankruptcy practice groups.

At G&M, Mr. Kapai will be collaborating with attorneys who have hailed from top law firms around the country, all of whom regularly represent sophisticated clients in a wide variety of litigation and transactional matters. In fact, Mr. Kapai is already familiar with many of G&M’s attorneys, as he actually started his career at G&M many years ago prior to moving to Mayer Brown. He returns to a firm that has grown substantially in his absence, and in particular a commercial litigation practice that has expanded substantially with the addition of multiple partners over the last several years.

G&M’s founding partners, Harley J. Goldstein and Matthew E. McClintock, both welcomed Mr. Kapai back at G&M. “We are very pleased to welcome Amrit back to G&M and to continue to grow the firm and its client offerings” said the firm’s Chairman, Harley J. Goldstein.  Mr. McClintock, the firm’s Managing Partner, agreed, noting that he “knows from personal experience that Amrit will be a fantastic fit – he is a good friend to many of us and a fantastic attorney and person.”
