Background
Ainsley started her legal career by serving as a Judicial Law Clerk to Chief Judge Doyle in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Before accepting a position in academia, she practiced for nearly a decade as a restructuring attorney, first at Kirkland & Ellis in Chicago where she represented corporate debtors in Chapter 11, and then at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius in Boston, where she advised creditor constituencies on a variety of financial restructuring matters and represented clients in bankruptcy-related litigation.
Before attending law school, Ainsley lived in Paris, France for a number of years, where she worked for White & Case LLP. Ainsley is fluent in French.
